American Symbols

As part of Our Nation unit in social studies, students have been learning about partriotic symbols. The Statue of Liberty and bald eagle have really intrigued the students. Here are the links to sites we visited as a class in class they want to explore more at home.

Statue of Liberty
Contains facts, virtual tours, and webcams. Did you know the Statue of Liberty is made of copper? This means it started out being the color of a penny.
